With your account created and the other parent linked, it's time to explore the app. On iPhone, the bottom bar has five tabs: Home, Messages, Calendar, Finances and Profile. The web app (familybridge.app/app) has the same sections in its menu.
Home
- A summary of your children, unread messages and co-parents.
- Your progress in Points & achievements.
- The bell with all your notifications.
- Shortcuts to Children, Messages, Calendar, Finances, Community and Documents.
Messages
Conversations with the other parent organized by child and by topic: General, Medical, School, Activities, Schedule, Expenses and Emergency. More in How to send messages.
Calendar
It has four sections: Calendar (events), Custody (who has the children and when), Exchanges (drop-offs and pickups) and Places (safe meeting points).
Finances
It includes Dashboard (the balance between both parents), Expenses (logging, splitting and approval) and Child support (monthly maintenance and payments).
Profile
Your account and subscription, children, co-parents, documents, reports, notifications, language, password and sign-out.
Your first-week checklist
- Complete your children's profiles: medical info, school, activities and emergency contacts (how to).
- Invite the other parent if you haven't yet.
- Set up custody with a predefined pattern.
- Create your first events: doctor, school, birthdays.
- Log an expense and choose how to split it.
- Adjust your notifications.
Exporting and importing the calendar in ICS format and syncing it with your iPhone calendar are Family Bridge Pro features.
