Logging each expense as it happens avoids end-of-month arguments: both parents see the same amount, the same category and how it's split.
Open Expenses
- Tap the Finances tab and choose Expenses.
- Use the filters to view expenses by child, status, category or date range.
Log an expense
- Tap New expense.
- Write a clear description, for example “Maria's school uniform”.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose the child (it can't be changed after the expense is created).
- Choose the category and the date.
- Set the Expense split: 50/50, Custom or Full.
- Add comments if needed and save.

Approval by the other parent
- The other parent receives the expense and can Approve or Reject it with a comment. Responding is always free.
- While it's pending, only the person who created it can edit it.
- You can delete an expense from its detail screen.
Receipts (Pro)
In the expense detail, tap Add receipt and choose a photo or a PDF. The receipt is stored with the expense so both parents can see it.
The free plan lets you log 10 new expenses per month. Family Bridge Pro makes them unlimited and adds receipts and the full financial dashboard.
